Xie Xiaohui

Secretary General of Vanke Foundation

Dr. Xie Xiaohui is a member of the Communist Party of China. She currently serves as Secretary-General of Vanke Foundation, Chair of the China Environmental Grantmakers Alliance (CEGA), a member of the council at the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES), President of the Shenzhen Yantian Volunteer Federation, and Director of the Snow Leopard Conservation Center, Qomolangma National Nature Reserve.

Professional Background：

With over seven years of experience in philanthropy, Dr. Xie focuses on environmental protection and public service for urban communities. In her current role at Vanke Foundation, she leads strategic planning and execution, program development, and overall operations. Her work centers on driving China’s sustainable urban community development, biodiversity conservation, coastal wetland protection, climate action, and green building initiatives.Before joining the foundation, Dr. Xie served as Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Vanke Group and later as Director of Vanke’s Corporate Citizenship Office. From 2013 to 2024, she led the China Enterprise Day program at the China Pavilion during the UN Climate Change Conference, an opportunity that gained her extensive experience in running international projects.

Expertise and Leadership：

Dr. Xie is known for her passion for public welfare and her strong track record in managing both local and international philanthropic initiatives. As a prominent leader in Shenzhen’s nonprofit sector, she advocates for harmony between people and nature while actively promoting public engagement in the city’s green development efforts. Over the course of her career, Dr. Xie has helped launch five high-impact charity organizations and played a key role in facilitating the largest university equity donation project in China.
